Dani Zamora

On August 8th, Dani Zamora, Austin-based artist and my former classmate, was deported from the US while traveling close to the Mexican border. The immigration officials who stopped him refused to acknowledge all evidence that he hadn’t just illegally crossed over and then confiscated his US identification.  It’s unclear when if ever he’ll be allowed to come home. You can look at his work and read his  story here, okay?

Here’s a drawing of his that I love:

This is heartbreaking! I hope things are resolved positively for Dani very soon and that he gets to return to his home in Texas.
